Global Staff Flock to International Crane Foundation Headquarters

In late June, the “International” in our title takes on even more meaning as over a dozen of our global staff members converge on our headquarters in Baraboo, Wisconsin for our inaugural Global Staff Retreat. Representatives from our programs headquartered in China, India, South Africa and Texas will be on site for the two-week retreat to collaborate and attend workshops on an array of topics, including marketing and communications, crane population monitoring, and conservation planning and evaluation. Of course, the week also includes other fun activities for team building and to introduce our staff to the Wisconsin landscape, including a field trip to Necedah National Wildlife Refuge, camping along the Mississippi River, and paddling and hiking at local state parks. This will be the first time that many of us will have a chance to meet each other in person, and we are so excited to finally have a chance to share meals, stories, and time together. We look forward to sharing the good ideas we cook up with you!

We anticipate many fun photos and memorable quotes over the course of the two weeks. You can join in the fun and learning by following us on Facebook and Twitter.
