On Sunday, May 12, 2013, the International Crane Foundation is celebrating Mother’s Day by giving free admission to all moms. Open 9:00 am – 5:00 pm, visitors can take guided nature walks, enjoy arts and crafts, and learn about the incredible role ICF aviculturists play as “crane moms” raising captive-bred Whooping Crane chicks for release into the wild.

Students Migrate to the International Crane Foundation
The International Crane Foundation in Baraboo, WI and its unique collection of the world’s cranes has been a favorite Wisconsin school field trip destination since 1978. Over 6,000 students per year visit ICF and take home the important lesson that each of us plays a role in the relationship between cranes, humans, and the natural systems on which all forms of life depend.

In mid-June we enjoyed another magical night at the International Crane Foundation. An Evening with the Cranes drew friends from across the country to share wine, food, and song from the crane regions of the world, under a beautiful summer sky.
Spend a Summer Evening with the Cranes
Enjoy a summer evening outdoors with gourmet food, friends and some of the rarest birds on earth. On Saturday, June 23 from 5 – 8 PM the International Crane Foundation (ICF), located on Shady Lane Road between Baraboo and Wisconsin Dells, will be hosting its 3rd Evening with the Cranes to kick off the summer season and to raise awareness about the conservation work ICF is accomplishing around the world.

Professional photographer, Tom Lynn, has been photographing acres of magnificent native plants and panoramas at ICF since May of last year. He is a storyteller with a lens — helping us tell the story of ICF’s connection to ecosystem restoration — efforts that began back in 1979 to restore prairie, savanna, wetland, and woodland communities at our headquarters site in Wisconsin.
Opening Day!
On Sunday, April 15th the International Crane Foundation (ICF) officially opens to visitors and our performers (the cranes) are dusting off their feathers, dancing and bugling to get ready.
An Evening with the Cranes 2012
An Evening with the Cranes will be held at ICF’s headquarters in Baraboo, Wisconsin from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Saturday, June 23, 2012. Tickets are $60 per person/$100 per couple.
Inspired by the regions where cranes live, people can expect delicious food and wine pairings created by Jim and Christine Dickey, owners of Little Village Café in Baraboo. Ignite your senses with exotic flavors, crane calls, and gorgeous trails winding through our prairie. During the evening you will have the opportunity to meet ICF Co-founder Dr. George Archibald, ICF scientists, educators, and of course, cranes!
