Learn about the connection between cranes and agriculture in East Africa with Dr. Adalbert Aine-omucunguzi, the International Crane Foundation’s East Africa Regional Director, on March 8 at the Crane Trust in Wood River, Nebraska. Adalbert will share how the International Crane Foundation is securing critical habitat for Grey Crowned Cranes in East Africa through an integrated community-based conservation approach. This presentation will focus on how regenerative agricultural practices are improving community resilience, reducing wetland encroachment, and how community-led wetland restoration is providing safe breeding grounds for Grey Crowned Cranes.
