Join Stephanie Schmidt, Whooping Crane Outreach Coordinator, for two free programs at the Middleton Public Library on May 19! Pre-registration is required for both programs.
Be a Field Biologist, beginning at 4:30 p.m., will provide students in grades 2-5 with the tools to learn about field biology techniques like crane counting and bird identification.
Following the children’s presentation, Stephanie will discuss the history of Wisconsin’s cranes, the science behind the Whooping Crane reintroduction, the continued efforts to protect cranes, and how to be a crane ambassador in Cranes Over Wisconsin at 6:30 p.m.
