ICF is celebrating International Migratory Bird Day!

Baraboo, WI – On Saturday, May 24, bring your family to the International Crane Foundation (ICF) to celebrate International Migratory Bird Day.

From 9am– 5 pm, visitors can take a guided tour of our facility and discover the unique migrating habits of each crane.  Visitors will hear stories about human-led migration with Whooping Cranes and learn about the Demoiselle Crane’s inspiring migration over the Himalayas (right, photo by K.S. Gopi Sundar). While on campus, visitors can also try their luck on our Sauey Birding Trail that winds through restored prairie and oak savanna ecosystems. Come see how many species you can spot in this wonderful birding habitat.

Spend some time outside enjoying the only place in the world where you can view all 15 crane species. This is a great opportunity to bring the family, take a walk and appreciate the amazing journeys birds take twice a year. Plan your visit today. ICF is open daily April 15 – October 31, 9am – 5pm and is located at E11376 Shady Lane Road between Baraboo and Wisconsin Dells, Wis. For more information please call 608-356-9462 ext 121.
