June 17, 2024 – Experience the beauty of cranes after hours at the International Crane Foundation’s annual An Evening with the Cranes on Saturday, June 22, 2024. Enjoy delicious food, sample craft beer and wine, and stroll the grounds at the impressive headquarters in Baraboo, Wis.

“This is one of my favorite events of the season,” said Dr. Rich Beilfuss, the foundation’s President and CEO. “It’s an exquisite experience to watch the cranes on a warm summer evening, with fine wine and food in hand, and learn first-hand from our staff about our efforts worldwide to save these magnificent birds and their homes.”

Additionally,  guests will have the opportunity to visit the newly renovated Platte River Experience in our Migration Center. Inside the Center, Artist Victor Bakhtin painted a mural on the vaulted roof of the original dairy barn that stood on our site. This space was the introduction to every tour that began at the International Crane Foundation for more than three decades, and we are very excited for guests to enjoy Victor’s legacy again. Many visitors remember this space from class field trips and delight in sharing their memories of it with their own families.

The event runs from 4 to 7 p.m. and includes updates on the Whooping Cranes and our Southeast Asia programs, remarks by Beilfuss, and remarks by International Crane Foundation Co-Founder George Archibald. All proceeds from the event will support the foundation’s work to protect cranes and the ecosystems, watersheds, and flyways on which they depend.

Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased on our website here or by calling 608-356-9462, ext. 807. They cost $100 for International Crane Foundation members and $120 for non-members.
