March 7 | “Cranes over Alabama” will focus on the cranes that live in Alabama: the Sandhill Crane and the endangered Whooping Crane. We will discuss how to identify the two species, their life history, current and historic threats they face, and how you can help protect these beloved birds.

March 14 | “Be a Field Biologist” attendees will learn about the crane species here in North America and learn field biologist techniques before spending a day (virtually) out in the field as a biologist counting cranes and identifying Whooping Crane individuals.
-
March 21 | “Crane Behaviors” will take a deep dive into the complex and wonderful world of crane behavior. Attendees will learn how to define prominent behaviors and how studying crane behavior contributes to their conservation.
-
March 28 | “We Give a Whoop” will discuss ongoing conservation efforts that aim to mitigate the ongoing threats Whooping Cranes face today. This program highlights the importance of community conservation in the continued protection and success of this species, as well as what attendees can do to help!
