The International Crane Foundation is a festival sponsor, and we’d love to see you at events featuring our fantastically knowledgeable staff and friends. Below are a couple festival highlights.

Thursday, Feb. 20

Co-founder Dr. George Archibald – public lecture at the UTMSI Patton Center, 7 p.m. (Most Festival events are ticketed, but this one is FREE, no reservation needed. Seating is first come first served.)

Friday, Feb. 21

Chris Corpus (International Crane Foundation Board Member) – “Collaborations for Cranes: The Whooping Crane Center of Texas,” 9 a.m.

Stephanie Schmidt (Lead Outreach Biologist) – “Whooping Cranes in the Eastern Migratory Population,” 10:30 a.m.

Matti Bradshaw (Whooping Crane Biologist) – “Whooping Cranes and the Landscapes They Traverse,” 1 p.m.

Dr. George Archibald (Co-founder) – “My Life with Cranes” book signing, 1:30 p.m.

Dr. Carter Crouch (Director of Gulf Coast Programs North America) and Kevin McAbee (USFWS Whooping Crane Coordinator) – “Give a Whoop: Education and Prosecutions to Save a Species,” 4 p.m.

Michael Forsberg (International Crane Foundation friend) – “Into Whooperland: A Photographer’s Journey with Whooping Cranes,” 6 p.m.

Saturday, Feb. 22

Katie Fernald (Rangeland/Wetland Ecologist), Stephanie Schmidt (Lead Outreach Biologist), and Paityn Bower (Outreach Biologist) – “Building Blocks of Crane Behavior” workshop, 12 p.m.
