Send peace and positivity to the universe with Tibetan Prayer Flags.
Prayer flags are famously tied all over the country-side of the Himalaya Mountains. Traditionally, prayer flags are tied outdoors so that the prayers written upon them may be carried on the winds out to the universe and to all living things. Each color is representative of one of the five main elements, and carries with it a mantra to promote peace, purification, compassion, prosperity, and knowledge.
The small flags have a traditional “Lung Ta”, or “Wind Horse” print, with a horse, representative of the human soul, is surrounded by four Celestial Beings that represent the cardinal directions.
The medium flags have a traditional Bodhisattva print, in which a different seated figure, representative of each color of flag, is surrounded by an accompanying mantra.
Prayer flags are by design meant to fade and fall apart over time. As they do so, according to Tibetan belief, they are becoming a part of, and purifying, the living universe.
