Member Appreciation Day

Members Matter! Mark your calendar for our annual Member Appreciation Day at our headquarters in Baraboo, Wisconsin on Saturday, Sept. 17, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Learn about our work to save cranes and their habitats through talks and presentations by our talented staff, enjoy tours of the Cranes of the World exhibits, and experience special behind-the-scenes events.

Important Notice – This year’s annual member meeting will include an important vote by members on a resolution that will amend the International Crane Foundation’s Articles of Incorporation. The resolution will help our organization streamline decision-making and operations that are critical as we continue to grow and mature as an organization. The vote will take place at the Wattled Crane Amphitheater beginning at 10 a.m. Central Time.

You will remain a valued International Crane Foundation member. You will continue to receive the full complement of member benefits that you love, including free admission to the Cranes of the World, gift shop discounts, frequent newsletter updates, Member Moments and special invitations to events that feature our crane experts from around the world.

The vote will enable the International Crane Foundation Board of Directors to govern more like other nonprofits of our size and global scope by changing our status under Wisconsin law to a “non-member” organization for governance purposes.

Once a small organization with local members, the International Crane Foundation today is a global force working to save the world’s 15 species of cranes in more than 50 countries on five continents, with nearly 10,000 members worldwide. The proposed change will give our Board of Directors the ability to elect new Directors directly and make other decisions for our organization that were formerly within the purview of local members and the Board.
