Guided Whooping Crane Walks at Horicon Marsh
Monthly beginning March 13 through Nov. 13, 2025Join us at the Horicon National Wildlife Refuge for our Whooping Crane Walks beginning on Thursday, March 13 (see full list of dates below).
We will discuss the history and management at the refuge, the work the International Crane Foundation is doing to conserve Whooping Cranes at Horicon Marsh and throughout Wisconsin, and offer guests opportunities to ask questions and view the cranes.
Dates: March 13, April 10, May 8, June 12 and 21, July 10 and 19, Aug. 14 and 16, Sept. 11, Oct. 9, Nov. 13 from 9 – 10 a.m.
During the Horicon Marsh Bird Festival: May 9, 5 – 6 p.m. and May 10, 9 – 10 a.m.
Meeting Location: Parking lot for the Egret Trail Boardwalk on the Auto Tour at Horicon National Wildlife Refuge. The trail is located on the northwest side of the refuge—view a map of the refuge here.
