Yampa Valley Crane Festival

Join us in beautiful Northwest Colorado for the 13th annual Yampa Valley Crane Festival! Guided crane viewings, bird and nature walks, expert speakers, films, crane and bird art, family activities, and more will be held in Steamboat Springs, Hayden and Craig.
Our Senior Research Associate, Dr. Liz Smith, will be the festival Keynote Speaker, sharing “A Community Approach for Whooping Crane Conservation along the Texas Coast” on Saturday, Aug. 31, from 1:30 to 2:45 p.m. at the Bud Werner Memorial Library.
