Member Appreciation Day Schedule Change
Unfortunately, we won’t be able to offer tours of Crane City this year. Our Crane Care Unit open house is also canceled.
We know many of you look forward to getting a glimpse of the places where our cranes in human care are raised and cared for. Due to a recent exposure to avian influenza, we have decided to move to a higher biosecurity measure, barring public visits to these areas. We’re so sorry not to be able to offer you these behind the scenes experiences. Yet we’re sure that crane lovers will understand that we have to do what’s best for the birds at this time.
We have lots more to offer you on Member Appreciation Day, including program updates from our staff, special showings of the new Canadian Broadcasting Company documentary Dances with Cranes, prairie walks, and guided tours of our Crane Discovery Center.
