Inscribed origami crane

In ancient times, cranes were thought to live for a thousand years. This belief gave rise to the auspicious motif of a thousand cranes, or Senbazuru, often expressed through the art of origami.

Our flock of origami cranes in the Cranes and Culture Plaza reflects Senbazuru and is an interactive art installation conveying well wishes, memorials, and inspirational messages.

We invite you to add your own message to fly on the wings of cranes. Your participation will help complete the art installation and achieve Senbazuru.

Your $1,000 donation includes an inscribed origami crane that will join the Senbazuru art installation at our headquarters and an origami crane ornament that we will mail to you.

Please fill out the form below to leave your message on the wings of cranes. Call 608-356-9462 ext. 807 for assistance with your gift.

Your gift is tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
